It’s no secret, everyone desires to lose weight and look like the scantily clad models you see gracing the covers of almost every glossy magazine on coffee tables, at your doctor’s office, at the corner bookstore etc.

This triglyceride is then carried into the bloodstream to other tissues in the body to be used as a source of energy for life support and physical activities, which essentially is very necessary.
The problem however, comes about when there’s excess amounts of triglyceride in your system, because then it’s turned into fat which subsequently causes obesity.

I come from a family of big boned members, and I remember my Mother telling me in my youth that I was not fat, just big boned!
I came to accept that theory, and never even thought about eating differently to shed off excess weight, until I was in College and the dating dynamics of a judgmental and cynical society!
So, if the path to the fastest way to lose weight does not appeal to you, that’s ok too, just as long as you’re comfortable in your skin, and not putting on a brave face and thick skin just to shield your mind from all the stares, comments and embarrassing moments.
As for me however, I made a concerted decision to lose weight because, deep down, I was an unhappy young adult. I just could not rationalize the idea that, as beautiful and full figured as I was, I was always the fat one walking with the pretty slender one, that I was always the one guys came to, to ask for my help in asking one of my friends to go out with them, that, during meals on campus, my friends would bring me their left overs to polish up!
I want to feel loved, I want to walk wherever I want, whenever I want, without feeling insecure in a civilized society.
I want men to open doors for me and take off their top hats and say Ma’am, in the nicest of ways, and mean it!
I want to walk into a room and see people staring at me, not because I’m fat, but because my beauty makes them forget who’s hanging onto their arms and they’d wish, just for a moment, they had me instead.
That was my motivation in seeking the fastest way to lose weight, and even though there were tears and lonely nights, it was all worth it, because today, as I look myself in the mirror, I tell the gorgeous slender reflection of a young woman peering back at me, that we’ll never go back to those dark days again.
Society is cruel as it is, and no amount of thick skin can protect you from the jeers of a society that feels you need to be this way or that way in order to fit in, and no matter how many times you may try to ignore society, and live according to your own rules, deep down, you’ll always know things happened, because you happened to have been 2nd best, and Cinderella got your man, and made you maid of honor instead!
Believe me, it took me a long while to get to this realization… after all those years spent in denial, but things don’t have to turn out this way for you.
Ultimately, you have a choice to make, and that’s also the reason why you probably purchased a gym membership at the beginning on this year, and have since defaulted on it, because life somehow got in the way!
Purchasing a gym membership with the desire to master the fastest way to lose weight is a step in the right direction, but a gym membership alone is not enough, you need to spring clean your life in January, in preparation of all those parties, friends, lovers and invites when you reach your ideal weight.
Believe me, I’ve been on more enterprising journeys all my life, like my trip to the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Kenya in the year 2005, or the visit to swim with Dolphins off the coast of Mozambique, or the hovercraft flip through the great Niagara falls, but none have been more fun and heart-fulfilling, as losing some weight, and seeing the look of utter amazement in my friend’s eyes! Friends who told me over and over what a loser I was and would never find true love!
