Many people have the perception that they have big thighs and don’t have an idea what to do about it.
Sadly, most of these people tend to be women who’ve gone through childbirth and gained excess body fat in their thighs and mid-section as a result of that experience.
Quite frankly, I personally believe it’s the media that’s spurring the flames targeting moms to lose weight.
Consider Nadia Octo-Mom Suleiman for instance… seen recently clad in a 2 piece bikini and looking like a super model, yet she just gave birth to octoplets just a year ago!
Go figure.
Whatever your personal emotions around your weight issue and desiring to shed some off by adopting some inner thigh exercises, hopefully this article will bring a glimmer of hope to you.
For those of you reading article and old enough to have seen the progression of exercises over a span of 20 or so years, you’ll realize how indeed times have changed. Some body builders originally suggested sitting down and using a stationary bike to aid those legs tone down.
This is sadly not the case any more.
In recent studies, sitting down has been proven not to assist your lower body lose weight; actually it has been proven to hinder fat loss!
As shocking as this revelation is, what then, are the best inner thigh exercises to follow to see a remarkable change in the tone of your thighs?
There are a few really good traditional or old fashioned ways to lose fat and tone your thighs. The easiest and still painful way is having a weighted jumping rope. Many of us have a kitchen timer that we use for cooking big meals; that timer is really good to make use of for jumping rope!
Now, if you live in an apartment and have a low hanging ceiling, then perhaps this type of exercise is not right for you.
Should you do 3 minutes of jumping at the commercial break of your favorite tv shows, you will roughly get nine to twelve minutes of exercise. It’s truly these small spurts of energy that enable your body to make the fat release in your legs and from your body it goes!
Other inner thigh exercises you could do at home, or in your yard for that matter to slim your thighs and lose weight at the same time is to invest in a mini-trampoline. These are the little guys; they are about ten inches off the ground and have rubber end covers on their legs.
The mesh material where you do the jumping is just big enough for indoor use. If you have time during the evening while you are watching your favorite display, it is possible to be exercising too.
Why is it Important to lose weight and tone your legs through inner thigh exercises?
When you age, it can be a lot harder to lose fat than you imagined. When you crest 40, it’s twenty times more difficult to lose that extra weight. You need to lose the additional leg weight simply because several things can happen.
You can develop spider and varicose veins. When the extra fatty weight lies on your veins the pressure can cause the veins to swell, making unsightly purple raised veins which are very hard to hide.
An additional issue is, when you add additional leg fat your skin will adjust color where your thighs touch. The sight, needless to say, is not pretty!
The last and probably one on the most important reasons to tone down your thighs, is your heart has to work ten times harder to get nutrients and blood pumped via your legs when they’re overweight. When you sit down to do work at the laptop, you’re cutting the speed of the flow in half.
So, be wise, and begin exercising those thighs with jumping jacks too. Anything that causes your body to do an up and down movement creates the fat release within your legs and leaves your body for good!

great post, I see so many people who have problems with their legs as they fail to do any exercises for them.
