Of the many external factors that can lower a woman’s self esteem and confidence, stretch marks have got to rank among the highest.
Sadly, the best cure for stretch marks is prevention, but this is not a perfect World, and we’re bound to be caught with a sweet tooth now and again, not to mention old mother nature blessing us with children.
It’s an un-winnable battle.
However, I do realize that rolling over and giving up is definitely not the name of the game, and I have a few tall tales of my own on natural remedies for stretch marks.
By no means are these remedies exhaustive, and you’re welcome to comment about your own experiences in the comments section below this post.
My first method on home remedies for stretch marks.
As stretch marks start out as microscopic tears in skin layers due to overstretching of the dermis, (the skin ladies) aloe vera helps heal these small wounds without causing scar tissue to form, effectively preventing the appearance of stretch marks.
Aloe vera has been used for thousands of years as home remedies for stretch marks by the Egyptians, Romans, Greeks, Arabs, Indians, Chinese and, more recently, the South Africans, (where the aloe plant grows in excellent abundance) to decrease the appearance of scars, moisturize and heal skin.
As a holistic product, the aloe vera is one of the most effective home remedies for stretch marks.
This extract from the aloe leaf protects skin from environmental factors and promotes skin regeneration.
I personally have used aloe extract ointments for acne and stretch marks with stupendous results.
When my sister, who had been a model, suddenly became pregnant, and the thought of her post pregnancy career got the better of her, I got her Revitol Preventative Treatment and, with a strict excercise regiment, she was able to regain her flat belly (I hate her for that) within a couple of months, and now travels the World taking photographs of other, though less prettier models than her!
For a more holistic approach, there’s always the option of massaging your body with aroma oil during pregnancy. Aroma oil is believed to have properties which help to reduce chances of getting stretch marks.

The complete regiment, to which I would advise you please consult with your doctor, dermatologist or otherwise, goes something like this;
Be sure to exfoliate first, always make sure that you are scrubbing towards the heart because this stimulates more blood flow and is great for getting rid of cellulite.
The ingredients for your Home-made Stretch Mark Cream
1/4 cup Cocoa Butter
1 Tbsp. wheat germ oil
1tsp. light sesame seed oil
1tsp. Apricot kernel oil
1tsp. Vitamin E oil
2 tsp. grated beeswax
1 tsp Vanilla extract (optional)
Yield: 3 oz.
Mix together all ingredients except the vanilla extract. Heat gently until the cocoa butter and beeswax have melted.
Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract, if desired. Allow to cool completely before use. (we don’t want to add salt to the injury with further heat now, do we?)
Store this mixture in a clean jar with a tight fitting lid. Massage into your skin as desired.
Major food sources for Vitamin K include green leafy vegetables, such as spinach, green cabbage, kale, Swiss chard, turnip greens, broccoli, tomatoes, liver and lean meats and dairy products.
Now I’m not sure you can get Revitol Preventative Treatment with Aloe Vera at your local store but, I’m aware this site does offer this cream as a risk free trial, with two free bottles to boot!
Hope our home remedies for stretch marks article will help you eliminate visible signs of stretch marks to a level where you feel comfortable wearing a bikini at the beach!
